Prarambh Art Studio, established in 2024, began as an independent initiative rooted in a passion for printmaking, learning, and artistic exchange. Founded by Vijay Singh Beniwal, with Jayshree Singh Deo as Co-Founder, the studio emerged from a shared commitment to fostering thoughtful artistic practice and dialogue. What started as a small, practice-led space gradually evolved into a platform for workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, bringing together artists, students, and educators from diverse backgrounds.

Based in Jaipur, India, the studio was founded with the intention of creating an accessible and reflective environment for hands-on making, experimentation, and dialogue. Over time, Prarambh Art Studio has expanded its activities to include academic engagements, institutional collaborations, and international exchange programmes, while remaining grounded in the values of process, community, and contemporary relevance.

Today, Prarambh Art Studio continues to grow as a space that supports creative practice, critical thinking, and meaningful artistic connections across local and global contexts.

Our vision is to nurture printmaking as a living, evolving art form—one that honors its rich traditions while actively engaging with contemporary thought and practice. We aim to create a space where experimentation, dialogue, and learning come together, enabling artists, students, and communities to explore the expressive possibilities of print.

We believe printmaking holds the power to document lived experiences, question social realities, and build meaningful connections across cultures and generations. Through our studio, exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative programs, we seek to strengthen critical thinking, technical excellence, and artistic independence.

Rooted in accessibility and inclusivity, our studio aspires to become a platform that supports emerging voices, encourages interdisciplinary approaches, and sustains a culture of sharing knowledge. By bridging traditional processes with new ideas, we envision contributing to the growth of printmaking in India and positioning it as a vital and relevant practice for the future.
